We discovered this gem of place on our trip out in May 2010, called in and have been going ever since. The hospitality is second to none with all the staff happy and friendly and nothing appears to be too much !
We've just spent another 18 nights during August and Sept 2010 and have visited several more times.
The food is another world, breakfasts, lunch and dinners all made very well (and by our standards that means VERY well). Specials of the day are always worth trying, even the humble burger is a star, being homemade pure beef patties with lots of flavour and great chips. Try a steak, I thought mine was a full roast that had been mixed up as it was that big !

| hi there billy and linda, just a wee note to say thank you for your kind welcome when we ate in your place in the mornings, breakfast was out of this world, it was good to get a nice bit o soda +fadge. and thank you for lending me your phone charger,should asked u sooner about it, anyway. sorry we couldnt make the evening you had planned, last night thing and all that, but next year if all goes well we will try and get something arranged a bit earlier in the holiday, cheers and thanks for everything, see you again. alan. p.s. the hatchet men are the team this year. |

had many a great breakfast and evening meal, but highlight for me +daughter was trip to salamis, famagusta etc, had a absolutely fab time.
would recommend this to anyone looking for personal touch trip to northern cyprus. got friends parents comin over this sun, have told them to come and see you all and try salamis dat out, dont forget the efes!!. Take care . Thanks again |

Hi Billy,
Just a quick word to express our gratitude for your hospitality while we were in Cyprus. The food in Steens was the best home cooked food available and we can vouch that you go out in the farmer's fields for your own Spuds during harvest as you were scanning the fields on our journey to Salamis and Varosha(Famagusta). (Highly recommended educational/recreational day out)
Great to see a couple with so much enthusiasm for the business, always bickering and making sure all the best ingredients are in the kitchen. (even the bread comes from 10 mile approx up the road!!!)
Hope the season goes well and good luck with any future venture etc.

Billy and Linda are a wonderful couple and Billy makes a really mean Pavlova has to be tasted to be believed. Linda is simply a great cook and you really must taste her profiterols (simply to die for).

We were married in Protaras and couldn't have picked a better venue for our meal! We were treated like lords and ladies and had a fabulous time. Billy's Famagusta trip was great and we all had a ball as well as learning about the history! All in all a fabulous restaurant, fabulous owners and staff. We left feeling like we knew them all for years. Will be back Billy, next year and might even make it to the wee church on the hill!!!!!!!!! Will need a few beers after that.
